About

Pocket Playbook started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping tips about the games we couldn't put down. At some point we figured other people might want the same notes, so we turned it into a proper site. Everything you read here comes from someone who actually loaded the game and played it, not from a press release.

We cover mobile titles from a lot of corners: role-playing games, strategy, racing, casual time-killers, the lot. The idea is to explain how a game really feels in your hands after the tutorial wears off and you hit the parts nobody warns you about.

Games get picked in a simple way. If enough readers ask about something, or if one of us gets hooked and won't shut up about it, it goes on the list. We play for a few days minimum before writing, because first impressions lie.

Nobody here pretends to be neutral. Our ratings are opinions, formed after real sessions, and we'd rather tell you a game drags in the middle than smooth it over.
