Casinacho

Big Bass Splash is one of those games you open expecting to kill five minutes and then look up an hour later. The core loop is casting your line, waiting for a bite, and reeling in with a little tension meter that punishes you if you yank too hard. It sounds simple, and it is, but the rhythm of it is oddly satisfying.

Controls are all one thumb. You tap to cast, hold and release to reel, and there's a gentle timing element when a bigger fish fights back. The art is bright and cheerful, the water animation is genuinely nice, and the sound of a good catch never gets old. Different spots on the map hold different fish, so there's a bit of a collecting itch pulling you forward.

What I liked most is how forgiving it is. You can play half-asleep on the couch and still enjoy it, but there's a small skill ceiling around perfectly timed reels that keeps the better catches feeling earned. It's a comfort game, plain and simple.
